Affiliate disclosure
GoldVetted is free to read. We pay for it through affiliate commission. This page explains what that means for you.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a link to a dealer that contains a tracking code. If you click it and then buy, the dealer may pay us a commission. It does not change the price you pay. These links are tagged as sponsored in the page code and open through a GoldVetted address beginning /go/.
Where do we show the disclosure?
Every page with an affiliate link carries a notice above the first such link, and this page is linked from the notice and from the footer of every page.
How do affiliate links affect our content?
| Area | Effect of affiliate commission |
|---|---|
| Check results and premiums | None. They come from our published method and automated checks |
| Order of dealers in lists | None |
| Which dealers we review | We review dealers readers ask about, including some with no programme |
| Price you pay | None |
| Whether we mention drawbacks | No dealer can remove them |
Do you accept free products or payment for reviews?
No. We do not accept payment, free products or other benefits in exchange for a review or ranking. See our editorial policy.
Why do you disclose this?
Consumer rules in several countries require clear disclosure of material connections. In the US the FTC expects them to be clear and close to the endorsement. In the UK the ASA and CAP Code require ads, including affiliate marketing, to be obviously identifiable. Canada and Australia apply similar consumer-law principles.

Sources
We checked these primary and official sources when writing and fact-checking this page.
Not financial advice. GoldVetted provides general information to help you compare options. It is not personal financial, tax or legal advice. Gold prices go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you pay. Check tax rules with the official source or a qualified adviser before you act.
